Victorian, circa 1880 Majolica high compote decorated with a large green and ochre leaf, ferns and pink and white flowers, tied together with a pink ribbon. Brown stipple ground. Brown greek key border with beaded detail around the rim. Leaves, ferns and flowers decorate the foot. Mottled green, brown and ochre reverse. Three stilt marks and a painted mark inside the foot. Very good. No restoration. No cracks. No hairlines. No chips. No flakes. Very slight wear to the top. 9ins diameter, 4.5ins high
