Herend porcelain centerpiece / compote, made in Hungary 20th century.Measures 6 1/4inches high.Inverted bowl shaped base, gilded knopf and gilded rims to upper scalloped and lower wavy rims.Margins in moulded basketweave and gently swirling folds emanate from the start of the slopes.Surface is handpainted with sprigs of colourful flowers and foliage and a large floral group decorates the center.Underneath is the Herend blue shield mark, various numbers and initials (probably those of the artist) S.G.Condition is excellent - no chips/cracks/losses/wear of any sort.
