Date cipher for 1882 Gustafsberg Majolica compote decorated with three birds standing against a column of bulrushes/cattails. Dish sits on top decorated with lily pads in a circle to center, surrounded by bulrushes/cattails within a border of larger lily pads. Green glaze to underside of dish and base. Impressed maker''s marks ''GUSTAFSBERG'', ''82'' (date cipher) and ''F'' to underside. Good. No cracks. No hairlines. No chips. Flake to base, and one base corner. Slight wear to the top. Kiln effect: brown glaze run over beaks. Restored flake to two base corners. 10.5ins high, 10ins diameter
