Rare, magnificent Rookwood Pottery large compote with elephants as the base. Super form, glaze and colors. There are two hairline cracks descending from rim of the bowl one with chip repair and a few grinding chips to base edge. Also one of the scroll handles has been re-attached. Very large piece shows extremely well despite the flaws. No other chips, cracks, damage or repair of any kind. Bottom marked with logo and date and shape mark. Compote is 12 1/4" tall and 16" wide. STUNNING!
