Circa 1920 Chinese Export Pair of Candle Sticks. They measure 7" in height and 7" from tail to head. Form of a Elephant with decorated green turquoise candle stick holders. Jos stick form elephant, polychrome decoration. First half of the 20TH Century. sometimes referred to as jos sticks. Elephant candlesticks were originally made by the chinese for export in the Late 18TH Century and the Early 19TH Century. This pair was made probably around the early part of the 20TH Century, 1920-1930's. One of the tusks have been broken. Other than that they are in decent condition at a less than decent price. A Very Decorative item. Pairs of 18th Century jos sticks sell for about $7500.00.
