For sale I have a lovely pair of Candlesticks made by the Roseville Pottery Company of Zanesville, Ohio. The pattern is known as "Snowberry". The Candlesticks measure 4 3/4" tall and are 3 7/16" wide at the base.
The Candlesticks depict very pleasing clusters of White Berries with a handful of detained green leaves on brown winding branches flowing from the top to the bottom. This is set against a background Glaze that bleeds from a soft Rose at the top to an even deeper Rose Tone at the bottom. There are two handles on each side of the candlesticks that are somewhat angular. The pattern of berries and leaves are on both sides.
The Candlesticks are in Excellent Condition as there are no cracks, chips, nicks or dings. They are both signed with the raised relief Roseville U.S.A. signature along with 1CS2 which is the mold number. One of the candlesticks also has a raised relief number 3 and a number 17 written in grease pencil. The other candlestick has a number 7 or letter L incised into the bottom along with a couple of illegible grease pencil marks all of which I believe to be makers marks.
The Candlesticks were made Circa 1947.
