JACQUES FEBVRIER Manufactory signed "LILLE, 1763" Small Faience box.Rare tin glazed oxides of manganese,cobalt, vert, mauve ocher and umber enamels with floral sprays on all sufaces, with a central healdric coat of arms. Brass frame original, fully attached.
Condition: The 250 year old box has had several interesting restorations which appear professional in its history. There are glazed areas, filled hairlines, and stablized chacks. Obviously much loved and valued.
Displays beautifully... for the advanced collector of rare 18th century objects de virtue. Dimensions: 3.5 Inches (9cm) Marked to base: Lille 1763 Approx 8 cm square.
