Circa 19th century dresser box / jewel casket, Wavecrest, CF Monroe, Meridan, Conn, “Billow Ware†company called pattern, white opal glass, blue/white soft luster/matte finish, hand enameled florals painted on top and sides, raised purple luster trim, reticulated gilt metal mounts. 5.25†dia, 3.25†tall.

- Circa 1890-1900.
- This “Billow Ware†glass pattern is now commonly referred to as eggcrate.
- CF Monroe patterns were company designed and patented. Concerning signatures…Monroe himself stated that his glass speaks for itself and therefore does not need signatures on every piece.
