Very pretty porcelain box, 19th century, with gilded rims and a gilded rose as the lid finial. It has a self embossed pattern of little flowers and leaves and rustic irregular rims. Could be a butter dish. No maker's marks, but probably French or German in origin. Measures 92 mm high by125 mm long by 97 mm wide (3.5/8 inches by just under 5 inches by 3.3/4 inches). Excellent condition, with just some wear to the gilding.
