Victorian, circa 1880 George Jones Majolica preserve pot in the form of a melon resting on a leaf. Branch effect handle and three feet to underside. Pink interior. Green and brown mottled underside with raised George Jones tablet mark. Lacking cover. Fair. Crack to the handle. No hairlines. No chips. Bruise to rim of leaf. Some small flakes around the rim. Slight wear to rim of melon. Extensive restoration to rim of leaf and melon. 7ins by 8.5ins
