19th Century bowls made in Limoges, France. Made to immitate Meissen. Measurements:5 3/4'' diam; 1 3/4'' high. Bowls handpainted in enamel depict Chinese figures, flowers and insects, very much in the style made famous by Meissen in the 18th century. Gilded rims. Marks: Limoges mark:La Seynie; Limoges; *A-F*; France. Also crossed swords in the Meissen style, but red and handpainted over the glaze. Both bowls have also had the words ''Made in France'' added in enamel handwriting, possibly at a much later date. Condition:very good. No chips/cracks of any sort.
