Royal Doulton bowl in the popular Pansies pattern. Octagonal shape, black rim. Bowl measures 6.25 cm high and 20 cm diameter. It has the backstamp and registration number for between 1910 and 1920. (Rd.No. 597783). Pattern D4049. Impressed stamp for 23. This design was introduced in 1917 and withdrawn by 1930. It has a small chip to the rim, and rim glaze has an orange peel bubbling. Otherwise in excellent condition.
