For Auction I have a Very Nice Console Bowl made by the Roseville Pottery Company of Zanesville, Ohio. The Pattern is the highly sought after "Bushberry" Pattern. The Console Bowl measures 2 7/8" tall and is approximately 13 1/4" wide outside handle measurement. The rim measurements are 11 3/8" wide and 8 3/8" deep.
The Pattern Displays very Detailed Embossed Maple Shaped Leaves and Clusters of Bushberries Growing from a Heavy Stem. The Console Bowl has Branch style handles with a Bark texture. The background of the Vase resembles that of Tree Bark with a Horizontal Grain thus giving this Vase that Life Like appearance. The Background Glaze is a Terra Cotta or soft Orangey/Brown with wonderful deep sage greens applied to the embossed leaves and in the background.
The Console Bowl is considered to be in excellent condition as there are no, cracks, chips, nicks, or dings. The Bowl is signed on the bottom with Roseville U.S.A. in Raised Relief along with the mold number 414-10". There is the number 9 written in a Black Grease Pencil and more than likely was the finishers mark. This is the Larger Rarer Size in this Roseville Line. This is a Lovely Piece of Art Pottery in a Very Desirable Pattern. The Mold is Crisp and the Detail is just wonderful. I'm sure the buyer will not be disappointed.
This Bowl was made Circa 1941.
