Elegant in its simplicity is this very large Oribe stoneware bowl, with only four splashes of thick green glaze on its creamy white body. There are evidences on the interior of the stilt kiln supports. The condition is excellent, with only short rim cracks as shown in the photographs. Approximately 14-3/4 inches in diameter and 7-3/4 inches high. Japanese, early to mid Nineteenth Century.
