Aesthetic Movement Limoge porcelain basket. This is one of the most unusually shaped pieces of Victorian Era French porcelain I have seen. It is in the form of a curved "basket" with an intricately "woven" handle. It is professionally decorated with butterflies inside and out and extremely delicate sprays of leaves and flowers. The interior back round color is white as is the handle. The exterior is a soft, pale grey-green. Excellent original condition, with virtually no wear. Fresh from a local Brooklyn estate. Fully marked on the bottom for the well know firm Haviland & Co. 10 1/2" wide x 8 1/4" deep x 4 1/2" tall.
