A rare Worcester basket with rope twist handles. Exquisitely hand decorated with a bouquet of flowers to the centre in dry blue with a gilt dentil outline, further sprigs to the interior sides and gilt dentil rim. The individual flower heads at the intersections picked out in gilt with a dry blue centre. Finely moulded flowers and leaves adorn the ends of the basket below the handles. Very minor losses to the tips of some leaves and one petal only. There are no other chips cracks or restoration, the painting and gilt are in excellent condition with no wear. Typically unmarked. Measures 18 cms long x 15 cms wide.
