Green velvet-covered French photo album, dating late 1800s to very early 1900s. Cover is decorated with shield motifs, and it has a snap-close fastening at the side. Gold-edged pages. Art Nouveau floral motif frames each page. The album is empty except for two photos, but they are so very French. One (damaged) shows a couple, she dressed in typical turn of the century rural dress, with white cap. The other is a pretty young woman. The velvet on the cover is worn in patches, but all in all this is a handsome little book. It contains 12 leaves, all double sided, and measures 16 cm by 12.5 cm. It is 6.5 cm thick.
