The first half page engraving is titled, "Rebel Troops Arriving at And Departing From Martinsburg, Virginia." It is a street scene with troops and civilians. A departing train has several soldiers standing on top of a car with a Rebel flag. A mounted officer and four horses pulling a caisson are in the foreground. A large Rebel flag flies in the center of the scene. The second half page engraving is titled, "Leesburg Bridge, on The Potomac, Below Harpers Ferry, Lately Held by The Virginians."
