It is a series of three sketches, top is titled, "Cramptons Gap." The center sketch is titled, "Lieut. Col. Van Vegesark Leading the 20th Regt. N.Y.V. to the Charge." It shows the mounted Colonel carrying a large American flag leaping over dead soldiers. A long line of infantry follow. The bottom sketch is titled, "Flag of truce from the Rebels." It shows a Rebel soldier shaking hands with a Union soldier, behind him is a soldier carrying a white flag. Wounded and dead lay on the ground. , Civil War
