Postcard from a soldier, J. Eastwood, from France on July 22nd 1918, just four months before WWI ended. No stamps, but it is addressed to Miss M A Eastwood, of 2ACollingwood Street, Ponsonby, Auckland. It just reads "From J.Eastwood, France. All's well, July 22nd." There are some other pencil notations also. These cards, known as WWI Silks were sewn mainly in Belgium and France and mounted into paper card frames for the soldiers to send home. This one shows the flag colours of the Allies. Very good condition, one little dirt patch and a very slight yellowing to one corner.
