Christie's London Auction House, Sale Catalogues of Dumfries House, A Chippendale Commission, Volume I and Volume II, dates 12 and 13 July 2007. The sale of the historic contents of Dumfries House, many by Thomas Chippendale, was halted just prior to taking place. A charitable trust set up by the Prince of Wales bought the house and its contents for the nation. An excellent sourcebook of historic English furnishings.
Condition good: bended crease on front cover of Volume I, lower left corner, but not torn through. All pages intact.
