Victorian, circa 1900 Two clear glass ogee domes with gilt rims embossed ''CRICKLITE'', each resting in a clear diamond point glass cup. Embossed maker''s mark inside the cups ''GEO DAVIDSON EST. 1867 ENGLAND''. Ormolu twin branch frame with ''CLARKE''S TRADE ''CRICKLITE'' MARK'' inscribed on the inside of both cup holder rings. Frame attached to a sharply cut footed standard. Cricklite fairy lamps were commonly used for dining room lighting at the turn of the 20thC. Similar piece illustrated figure 720, page 204, Schiffer''s ''Fairy Lamps'' by Bob & Pat Ruf. Generally good. No restoration. Crack to top rim of one dome. Tiny nibbles to top rim of both domes. Slight wear and light scratches to both domes. Plating rubbed from the frame. 17.5ins high, 14.25ins wide
