Tiffany Studios 539 bronze lamp base with original patina. The base has been rewired some time in the past and operates fine. The base is shown in the authoritative books titled Tiffany at Auction by Alastair Duncan, pg. 285, plate 889 and Koche's book, pg. 195, plate 40. The lamp base is fitted to a fabulous period geometric shade which is unsigned. The shade is composed of rare ripple curtain border glass and slag in various shades of molted green and amber. A fine lamp measuring 19" tall and 14" wide priced very reasonably at that of the Tiffany base alone.
