This pair of beautiful porcelain table lamps is handpainted with both floral motifs and an intricate coat of arms design. Under the coat of arms -- which features an armor-mounted shield held by a gryphon on either side -- is a banner with the word "Sperabo", Latin for "I shall hope". Among the painted designs can be seen a white-on-white raised slip design, all over a gilded brass base. The height measurement includes the brass riser and sockets.
