Beautiful pair of Kwan Yin porcelain lamps. After doing some research I believe the lamps are Chinese porcelain, considered blanc de chine, circa mid 20th century with a celadon glaze. What I was unable to find was a pair with the lattice type wood backing. This lattice style is also found on the wood bases. I believe the shades are handmade. Each lamp has a different style of finial; not sure if either is one is original. Price does not include actual shipping and handling.
Each lamp has the same approximate measurements:
Height with shade: 32".
Height of Kwan Yin: 19".
Wood backing: 20-1/4" tall and 7" wide.
Wood base: 7".
Each lampshade has the same approximate measurements:
19" wide and 13" tall.
Condition:
Lamps: One lamp has a piece broken off one of the flowers. The other lamp has a teeny-tiny fleabite chip on the edge of one flower. If I had not felt it, I would not have noticed it. There are no hairlines or cracks, however there is some light crazing. One lamp looks to have its original wiring and the other one may have been rewired due to its clear cord. Both lamps are in working condition.
Lampshades: There are a few places on the bottom edge of both shades that have wear or worn through to the lamp frame.
