Handel reverse painted desk lamp measuring 14" high and 10 1/2" wide with it's 8" wide cylindrical shade in chipped ice glass painted with six large trees in a wooded landscape scene. The moon is centered with foreground tree libs crossing it and reflects in a still forest lake. The base is signed on the bottom with the cloth Handel tag and the shade is signed on the inner lip Handel, numbered 6577, and artist initialed. The base and shade have no damage and have been freshly rewired with cloth antique style wiring. This is the same model lamp that sold in Sotheby's March 04 sale for $4200 .
