This is a fascinating pair of antique cast bronze Gothic Revival sconces with glass shades, dating from the 1920’s. Each sconce features a cast bronze rectangular backplate with a Gothic arch; a bracket-shaped arm with a trefoil cutout supports a shade holder hanging from a long chain. Each shade holder features a trefoil finial and supports a white glass shade ornamented with Gothic arches and trefoils. These single-arm wall lamps are in excellent condition; they have been professionally rewired. The shades are in good antique condition with some chips on the rim of one (pictured) that are not visible when the shade is attached to the sconce. The sconces measure 39†long, 7†wide, and project 12†from the wall.
