This is a wonderful pair of antique cast bronze Georgian sconces, dating from the 1920’s. Each of these double-arm sconces features a finely cast back plate crowned with a torch and a swag. The base of the back plate features a rectangular sunburst flanked by volutes. A pair of smooth arms extends from the bottom of the back plate, supporting intricately cast wax-pans ornamented with florets connected by swags. A simple bronze bobeche rests in each wax-pan. These wall lamps are in excellent condition; they have been professionally rewired and come with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The sconces measure 9†wide, 12†tall, and have a projection of 5 ½â€.
