A wonderful pair of antique Arts & Crafts wall-mount lanterns with their original glass, c. 1905, salvaged out of Springfield, IL. Each sconce features a round, hammered backplate with a flared edge. A smooth arm extends from the center of the backplate, ending in a hook. A lantern, crowned with a trefoil finial, hangs from the hook. The lanterns feature hammered, sloped roofs and banding details with hand-riveted tabs across the glass cylinders. These wall lamps are in excellent condition; they have been professionally rewired and come with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The glass has just the expected fleabites and a couple of small chips around the rims as shown. The sconces measure 14-1/2†tall, 6-1/4†wide, and project 13†from the wall (all measurements approximate). A matching figural chandelier with monks’ heads is also available, item # NC1224-RW.
