This is a handsome pair of antique double-arm cast iron Spanish Revival sconces, dating from the 1920’s. The backplate of each sconce features a crown at the top, with a torch on either side. The center of the backplate is accented with a floret button on a long shield; the shield is flanked by acanthus leaves and volutes. Two wrought iron sconce arms extend from the lower portion of the backplate; each supports a hammered, crenellated bobeche. These wall lamps are in excellent condition; they have been professionally rewired and come with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. We kept the original nonfunctioning turn switches for nostalgia’s sake; however, we will gladly replace them with new ones if desired. The sconces measure 10 ½†tall, 8†wide, and project 4 ¼†from the wall.
