This is a superb pair of antique double-arm Adam sconces, circa 1915, in their original silver plate over brass. The sconces feature a fluted, urn shaped backplate crowned with an acorn finial and acanthus leaves, with Greek key handles on either side of the urn. Two S-curved sconce arms extend from the backplate to support leaf-and-dart cutout bobeches. The backplate finishes in acanthus and a cluster of grapes. These Neoclassical wall lamps are in excellent condition with a beautifully aged finish; they have been professionally rewired and come with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The sconces are 10†tall, 14†wide, and project 5†from the wall.
