This is a superb pair of antique Spanish Revival sconces, dating from the 1920’s. These cast bronze single-arm sconces retain their original polychrome finish with brilliant red and blue accents. Each sconce features an intricately cast back plate ornamented with volutes, scrolls, and florets. The base of the back plate is finished in an anthemion. A fluted, U-shaped arm extends from the bottom of the back plate, supporting a superbly cast bobeche that features a leaf-and-dart pattern and beading. These wall lamps are in excellent condition; they have been professionally rewired and come with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. We kept the original nonfunctioning turn switches for nostalgia’s sake; however, we will gladly replace them with new ones if desired. The sconces measure 4 ¾†wide, 11 ¾†tall, and project 5 ¾†from the wall. A matching set of three double-arm sconces is available under item # NSP341.
