This is a superb pair of antique Victorian pewter double-arm sconces with original prisms, dating from the early 1900’s. Made and signed by Unique Lamp of Chicago, these sconces feature a large flower in the center of the backplate, bordered in a rope pattern and surrounded with acanthus, laurel, and volutes. Each sconce is crowned with an urn, with a flower growing to a bloom at the top. Two sconce arms extend from the bottom of the backplate, ornamented with scroll detail and finishing in an end-cap with a beautifully detailed flower. Each arm supports a bobeche hung with prisms. These icicle prisms feature an unusual rounded top, with a lattice-style design below. These wall lamps are in excellent condition; they have been professionally rewired and come with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. We kept the original nonfunctioning turn switches for nostalgia’s sake; however, we will gladly replace them with new ones if desired. The sconces measure 12†tall, 9 ½†wide, and project 3†from the wall.
