What an interesting pair of sconces these are. While they are simply lovely, they are also a bit of a puzzle. They could have been custom made since the shades are Circa 1920-30 crackle glass, but the steel and iron fixtures seem more recent.
The shades are hand blown "art" form and are slightly different shapes and sizes. Each one fits its own sconce. This is another reason we believe that these were hand made, for a particular place for a particular client. Regardless of how they came into being.....the decorative effect is stunning.
Ready to go...nothing needs to be done except add the light bulb. These sconces have been completely rewired and are supplied with all the mounting hardware. Each sconce does have its own switch which is identical to the ones used in 1910. It's hard to tell it was even replaced.
Measurements: The Overall sconce height is 15 ½". The back plate measures 3" wide x 11" tall. The widest width is the shades which...depending on where you measure them, will vary. But a maximum of 7 ½" is about the widest. The project into the room from the wall about 8 ½".
Price: $325.00 for the pair, plus shipping.
