A splendid pair of antique cast iron double-arm sconces, dating from the 1920’s. Each sconce features an intricate backplate crowned with an urn; below, volutes frame a heart shape on the backplate. A small shield accents the bottom of the sconce between the arms, with leaf detail below. Each sconce arm ends in a square floral patera, with a twisted finial below and an acanthus bobeche above. These wall lamps are in excellent condition; they have been professionally rewired and come with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. We kept the original nonfunctioning turn switches for nostalgia’s sake; however, we will gladly replace them with new ones if desired. The sconces measure 11 5/8†tall, 8 ½†wide, and project 3†from the wall.
