Fascinating antique two-arm Neoclassical sconce, dating from the early 1900s. This unique wall lamp reminds us of a violin with its shape and pronounced scrolling arms. The sconce is topped by a leaf-like crown, its slender neck tapering to a full lower body with ears and a centered floret button. Two scrolling iron arms begin at the top and attach near the bottom of the backplate with a flower rosette. Each sconce arm curls around to support a foliate bobeche. This sconce is in excellent condition with working switch; it has been professionally rewired and comes with all necessary attachments for modern installation. The fixture measures 8-1/4" wide, 11-3/8" tall, and projects 4-1/2" from the wall.
