Sweet pair of antique single-arm iron sconces in their original polychrome finish with floral details. Marked with patent date and signature “M.L.P", the sconces were made in 1927 by Markel Lighting Products of Buffalo, NY. These cream-colored wall lamps are crowned by a volute and foliate top finial; below, the backplate has a seeded texture with florets, leaves, and a full flower centerpiece. Extending from the back plate, the sconce arm supports a beaded and gadrooned bobeche. These wall lamps are in excellent condition; they have been professionally rewired and come with all necessary attachments for modern installation. We kept the original nonfunctioning turn switches for nostalgia’s sake; however, we will gladly replace them with new ones if desired. The sconces are 4-5/8" wide, 9-1/2" tall, and project 4-1/2†from the wall. Coordinating sconces are available under items NSP153-RW and NSP749-RW.
