A magnificent pair of antique Neoclassical cast bronze sconces, circa 1905. These large three-arm sconces feature a rectangular backplate ornamented at top and bottom with anthemia; a reeded arm extends from the backplate, ending in a splendid Ionic column with an intricate acanthus bobeche at the top. Two volute arms, swathed in leaves, extend from either side of the column, each holding a cutout wax pan with a foliate candle cup. The bottom of the column is finished in a cluster of leaves with a finial below. These wall lamps are in very good antique condition; one sconce has two small cracks where the arm meets the backplate (pictured) which are barely noticeable. The sconces have been professionally rewired and come with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The sconces measure 18 ½†tall, 12†wide, and project 12†from the wall.
