This is an amazing pair of antique cast iron single-arm Spanish Revival sconces, dating from the 1920’s, in their original polychrome finish. The sconces feature a beautiful elongated back plate, ornamented with intricately cast foliate detail. The sides of the back plate are framed with acanthus leaves that form a stylized fleur-de-lis design. The arm is formed of a curving wrought iron piece that comes up from the bottom of the back plate. Resting atop the curve of the arm is a beautiful cutout bobeche ornamented with subtle polychrome leaves. These wall lamps are in excellent condition; they have been professionally rewired and come with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. We kept the original nonfunctioning turn switches for nostalgia’s sake; however, we will gladly replace them with new ones if desired. The sconces measure 4 ½†wide, 12†tall, and have a projection of 4 ¾â€.
