A wonderful pair of antique double-arm Neoclassical sconces, dating from the 1920’s and signed A.M.W., Newark, NJ. Each sconce features a shield-shaped backplate with a flaming torch at the top, flanked with volutes. Two volute arms, ornamented with leaves, extend from the backplate to support cast bobeches with leaf detail. These wall lamps are in excellent condition; they have been professionally rewired and come with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The sconces measure 8 ½†tall, 8†wide, and project 4 ½†from the wall.
