This is an amazing antique brass pendant light fixture with its original, etched vaseline glass shade, dating from the early 1900’s. It begins with an understated brass canopy, coming down in three chains to curled arms which support the chandelier body. The urn-shaped brass body features an intricately cast crest on each side, ornamented with volutes, acanthus, and palmettes. The bottom of the fixture finishes in a long finial accented with stylized foliate detail. The vaseline glass shade, in its characteristic light yellow color, rests in the top of the chandelier body, flaring out to a ruffled edge. The shade features a beautiful, acid-etched floral design. This light fixture is in excellent condition, and the glass is in very good antique condition with a tiny chip on the rim (pictured), which is not visible unless the shade is removed from the fixture.
