This is a fabulous antique Neoclassical brass lantern, circa 1920’s, with its original caramel slag glass and red glass. The pendant light begins with a volute and acanthus loop atop a finely ornamented, pierced roof. The hexagonal lantern features six panels, each with a sunburst at the top with ruby red glass; below, draperies with tassels overlay the amber slag glass. The bottom of each panel is ornamented with a brass baluster. The bottom of the pendant is ornamented with lattice cutouts and leaves, and it finishes in a foliate finial. This light fixture is in excellent condition; it has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The glass is also in excellent condition with no cracks or breaks, just the expected fleabites around the edges. The chandelier body measures 7 ½†wide and 17†tall; the fixture is 32†long overall.
