A wonderful antique pendant light with an unusual glass shade, dating from the early 1900’s. The one-light Neoclassical pendant begins with a brass canopy with cutouts filled with copper; an unusually shaped chain connects to a simple loop at the top. The fixture features a two-piece hinged construction and opens in the middle, making it very easy to change the bulb. Curved amber slag glass panels, overlaid with brass leaf designs, form the body of the lantern. This light fixture is in very good antique condition; one panel has a crack on the inside (pictured), covered by the brass ornamentation on the outside. The chandelier has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The chandelier is 8-1/4†wide, approx. 14†tall (body only), and approx. 28†long overall.
