A marvelous antique Neoclassical pendant light fixture with its original cut back cameo glass shade, dating from the early 1900’s. The chandelier begins with an elegant cast bronze canopy ornamented with a guilloche pattern, palmettes, and foliate detail. Below, the fitter features the same design as the canopy, and supports a splendid acid cutback glass (or “cameo glass”) shade. The shade features a beautiful design with a shield surrounded by a laurel wreath and ribbons. This light fixture is in excellent condition, and the shade is also in excellent condition with no cracks or breaks, just the expected fleabites around the rim. The chandelier has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The shade is 8” wide, the length of the pendant body only is 12-1/2”, and the overall length is 27”.
