A very heavy, well-made antique Neoclassical flush-mount light fixture in pewter with its original finish, dating from the 1920s. The outer edge of the chandelier features a finely cast leaf-and-dart border, with an incredibly detailed band of shells, acanthus, and grapevines with red and green polychrome accents. Four downward-facing bobeches, with leaves and ribbons against a red background, hang from the perimeter of the chandelier. The chandelier features a bead-and-reel border around the gadrooned center, ornamented with leaves and holding the fifth bobeche. This light fixture is in excellent condition; it has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. It measures 17†in diameter and approx. 7-1/4†long without bulbs.
