A wonderful antique exterior sconce by J. C. Virden, c. 1930, with its original amber glass shade. The sconce features a hammered backplate with a rectangular arm; the arm is accented by stylized fleur-de-lis. The shade holder features a sloped, hammered roof with a crackled amber glass shade below. This wall lamp is in excellent condition; the shade is also in excellent condition with just the expected fleabites around the rims. The sconce has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The sconce measures 12†tall, 6†wide (backplate is 4 ¼†wide overall), and projects 8†from the wall.
