A fabulous antique five-light chandelier in its original silver plate and fitted with Sheffield style glass shades. From a house in Indianapolis, Indiana, this chandelier dates from the 1920’s. It begins with a silver plated canopy ornamented with leaves, coming down in a chain to a torsade loop finial with foliate accents. Below, a shallow cluster of leaves is accented with a prism on every other leaf; the chandelier has a column-like body with sleek chandelier arms curving up from the bottom. The arms are linked by a twisted silver band, and each arm supports a black shade holder with a Sheffield style shade. The chandelier finishes in a cluster of leaves with a faceted crystal ball at the bottom. This light fixture is in excellent condition and the glass is also in excellent condition with no cracks or breaks. It has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The chandelier body measures 22†wide and approx. 22-1/2†tall, and the fixture is approx. 38-3/4†long overall.
