This is a superb antique cast bronze six-light chandelier, dating from the 1920’s, ornamented with a Scottish thistle. The chandelier begins with a canopy ornamented with leaves and paterae, descending in a chain to a loop finial formed of thistle leaves. Below, bronze bands flare out into intricately cast bronze thistles with an Art Nouveau style, surrounding a light in the center of the chandelier. The arms feature a hammered border running along each edge; each arm supports a cutout bobeche with a thistle design, finished in an elegant thistle finial. This light fixture is in excellent condition; it has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The chandelier body measures 18 ½†wide and 19 ¼†tall, and the fixture is 37 ½†long overall.
