This is a fascinating antique lantern-style six-light chandelier in its original silver plate, dating from the early 1900’s. This Neoclassical chandelier shows some Gothic Revival influence, beginning with a trefoil loop finial. Below, five curled silver bands form the elongated chandelier body. The bands are connected by beautifully cast volute motifs, which are detailed both on the inside and outside of the chandelier. Each band curls up at the bottom, supporting a finely detailed foliate bobeche. A silver plated leaf occupies the space between each arm. This light fixture is in excellent condition with a beautifully aged finish. It has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The pendant is 16 ¾†wide, 30†tall (lantern only), and 52†long overall.
