A magnificent antique two-tiered cast bronze figural chandelier with birds, c. 1910. This twelve-light Colonial Revival chandelier begins with a simple canopy, coming down in a chain to a reeded loop finial accented with leaves, atop two tiers of lights. The chandelier features a long baluster body, with a smaller orb beneath the upper tier and a large bronze orb beneath the lower tier. Elegant chandelier arms begin with a bird’s head, coming out in a graceful S-curve to gadrooned bobeches with leaf-and-dart borders. The chandelier finishes in a volute loop finial with leaf detail. This light fixture is in good antique condition; it has some minor dents on the bronze orb, a tiny dent in one arm, and a hole has been drilled in the top of one of the arms (pictured). The chandelier has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The chandelier body measures 22†wide and 19 ½†tall, and the fixture is 36 ½†long overall.
